I wish I could tell you that they will eventually understand. I wish I could tell you that they will stop feeling afraid. I wish I could tell you that they can control their anxieties long enough to help you embrace your journey. I wish I could tell you, your friends are really solid people, who are seldom phased by challenges. I wish I could tell you that they would jump right in and help you find solutions. I wish I could tell you this is not the end. But it is. And guess what? You will be fine without them. They are not bad people, but it just turns out, they are not YOUR people. And this experience has given you a chance to see that.
