Hi there! Welcome back to the Super Mom Show (blog). My name is Tiffany Simpson. I am a Life Coach, Parenting Coach and Super Mom to a 12 year old animation developer with autism. In this blog post, I will keep you updated with my newest challenge: Breast Cancer Awareness Month – 2 Hour Daily Walk Challenge. The challenge is designed to build awareness about breast cancer and I also sell my games to passersby to raise money for my favorite charity.
But, before I get into the results, let me introduce myself and give you some background information, especially for those of you who are new to my page. My name is Tiffany Simpson and I am a Life Coach, Parenting Coach, Teen Life Coach and Super Mom to my 12 year old son, Jayden Simpson, who has autism. My journey as Super Mom became apparent after my son was diagnosed with autism. It was during this challenge that I taught myself to create computer games and mobile apps to help my son overcome challenges with his speech and social skills. Today, he has is own business teaching animation development. He has recently launched his Animation Development Course. If you would like to learn more about our journey, please visit my about page. And here is a cute video of him creating one of his short animation clips.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast Cancer Awareness Month: observed October 1 to October 31st every year. This year, as part of the Super Mom Show, Super Mom will be joining the fight to build awareness about breast cancer for the entire month of October.
Breast Cancer, is the second most common cancer. The first is skin cancer. Breast cancer is cancer that forms in the breast and can occur in both men and women.
- a lump in the breast that feels different from the surrounding tissues
- changes in the size, shape and appearance
- changes to the skin over the breast. for eg. dimpling
- Newly inverted nipple
- peeling, scaling, crusting or flaking of areola (pigmented area surrounding nipples)
- pitting of the skin around the breast, resembling an orange
If you experience any of these changes, go see your doctor.
For this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I (cosplaying as Super Mom), will walk 2 hours everyday, starting today. While out walking, I will hand out small business cards with a QR Code that individuals can scan to link back to this page. They can find updates on the progress of the walk and the money raised for each week.
